Reese's Pieces Cookies

If you or your children like Reeses Pieces candy

These are the cookie for you. I like to have these waiting for my kids as they come home from school. They are simple to make. Kids enjoy them.

Reese's Pieces Cookies

  • 1 cup shortening

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 1/2 cups flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 2 cups Reeses Pieces

Cream together your shortening, sugars, and vanilla. Add your eggs and beat well. Mix together in another bowl the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add your creamed mixture to the flour mixture and mix in the Reeses Pieces.

Cover and chill for one hour. Drop by spoonful on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool on cookie sheet. Makes about 65 cookies.

I got this recipe from Cooks.com

I know they use shortening, and I know that isn't the healthiest stuff on earth, but if you are looking for a health food blog, this blog is not for you. I will and do have some healthy recipes, but they are not in the majority in my household. Not intentional, just our taste.
